Czy legendarna artystka Madame Serene Moisel i jej „karłowaty”, pozbawiony klasy Mistrz Ceremonii, Louie Saboteur, nie byli w tournee przypadkiem trochę zbyt długo? Czy w ich artyzmie zostało cokolwiek ze sztuki?
Rima Miller jest twórcą, reżyserem, aktorką i choreografem od trzydziestu lat. Pełniła funkcję m.in. dyrektora artystycznego Riolama Theatre/Dance Ensemble, zespołu powstałego z koncepcji "współczesnych mitów na współczesne czasy w oparciu o klasyczne tematy". Rimę można także zobaczyć jako aktorkę-lalkarkę w "THE KING STAG", jako MC w "DANCE SALAD", była również członkinią kilku aktywnie udzielających się zespołów lalkarskich w Bostonie.
Na jej sceniczny dorobek składa się również rola Sarah Bernhardt w sztuce Otho Eskina "Duet". Tego lata reżyserowała komedię "Miłość Trzech Pomarańczy" podczas Festiwalu Teatralnego w Santa Fe.
Rima pełniła funkcję "Artist in Residence" - patronat, opieka artystyczna - w stanach Massachuesetts, Ohio i Nowym Meksyku. W Nowym Meksyku pracowała w niepublicznym systemie szkolnictwa. W Santa Fe Rima była choreografką SF Desert Chorale i SF Pro Musica. Wyreżyserowała i napisała wiele niezależnych produkcji takich jak "Szkice dla mojego Ojca", "Projekt dla Śmierci", "Taneczna Sałatka: Piękne Widowisko dla Atrakcyjnie Wyzwanych", "Upadły Anioł", "Wołanie do Modlącego", "Wiszące Uzdrowienie", "Kołysanka" i stworzyła mnóstwo komicznych postaci.
Hilary Chaplain wraca na nasz Festiwal ze swym nowym przedstawieniem. W 2008 zaprezentowała przedstawienie "Życie w jej dniu", które zdobyło nagrodę dla Najlepszego Aktora. W ubiegłym roku przedstawienie to zdobyło Grand Prize podczas Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Solistów Lalkarzy "Arlekin".
Jako solowa artystka, Hilary wystąpiła w ponad 20 krajach na całym świecie, a w najbliższym czasie występować będzie we Fryburgu w Niemczech podczas zimowego sezonu na Palazzo Comobino Freiburg.
Jako aktorka, Hilary była w pierwszym składzie "Bill Irwin's Largely-New York" i występowała na Broadwayu oraz w Teatrze Delacorte w Central Parku jako "Bogini Ceres" w przedstawieniu George'a C. Wolfe'a pt. "Burza" podczas Nowojorskiego Festiwalu Shakespeare'owskiego.
Zagrała również w nagrodzonym w 1994 roku Oskarem filmie "Forrest Gump", prawniczkę w serialu "Law and Order Criminal Intent" i uczestniczyła gościnnie w "Late Night" Davida Lettermana. Spędziła 6 lat współpracując z Amerykańskim Teatrem Stałym w Cambridge i w trasie.

Have the legendary performer Dame Serene Moisel and her pint size, foul-mouthed classless Emcee, Louie Saboteur, been touring together a little too long? Is there any art left in their artistry?
Rima Miller has been creating, directing, acting and choreographing for the last thirty years. Her credits include Artistic Director of the Riolama Theatre/Dance Ensemble, a company created with the concept "modern myths for modern times based on classical themes." Rima has been seen as a puppeteer in THE KING STAG, as an emcee in DANCE SALAD, an original show, and was a member of several touring puppet companies in Boston.
On stage her credits as an actress include Sarah Bernhardt in the play, Duet by Otho Eskin. This summer she directed a commedia del arte for the Santa Fe Theatre Festival, THE LOVE OF THREE ORANGES.
Rima has been an Artist in Residence for the states of MA, OH and NM. In NM she has concentrated on working with the under served public school system. In Santa Fe Rima has choreographed for the SF Desert Chorale and SF Pro Musica. She has directed and written many independent productions including Sketches to my Father, Design for Death, Dance Salad: a Beauty Pageant for the Attractively Challenged, Fallen Angel, A Call to Prayer, The Hanging Cure, Lullaby and created a plethora of comic characters.
Hilary Chaplain returns to the festival with this new show. In 2008 she presented her show A LIFE IN HER DAY which won the prize of Best Actor. Last year the show was awarded the Grand Prize at the Arlekin International Solo Puppetry Festival.
As a solo performer, Hilary has appeared in over 20 countries around the world and will be performing next in Freiburg, Germany for the winter season at Palazzo Colombino Freiburg.
As an actress, Hilary was an original cast member in Bill Irwin's Largely/New York and appeared on Broadway and at the Delacorte Theatre in Central Park as the Goddess Ceres in the New York Shakespeare Festival production of The Tempest directed by George C. Wolfe. She played a featured role in the 1994 Oscar winning movie Forrest Gump, a lawyer on Law and Order Criminal Intent and made a special appearance on Late Night with David Letterman. She spent 6 years working with the American Repertory Theatre both in Cambridge and on tour.
